Multi-Unit Franchise

A franchise arrangement where one franchisee owns and operates more than one unit of the same brand.

Multi-unit franchising has become increasingly common, with many franchisors actively seeking experienced operators who can manage multiple locations. Multi-unit owners can benefit from economies of scale in staffing, purchasing, and marketing. However, managing multiple units requires strong operational systems, reliable managers, and sufficient capital. Some franchisors offer incentives like reduced franchise fees for additional units or preferred territory options.
