The operating manual (sometimes called the operations manual or brand manual) is the franchisee's playbook for day-to-day operations. It covers everything from opening and closing procedures to product preparation, customer service standards, marketing guidelines, and reporting requirements. While the full manual is confidential and typically not provided until after signing, the FDD's Item 11 discloses the table of contents so prospective buyers can understand the scope of operational guidance provided.
